Two current BST team members have been promoted, one is shifting departments and a new Quality Office was created to better address the growing needs of the clients we serve, current staff we support and future BST team members.
Lori Stough has been promoted to our newly created Director of Quality and Behavioral Supports position. In this position, she will maintain many of the same functions she has performed in the past along with some new ones. Lori will continue to function on my behalf when I am out of the office for an extended period of time as well as perform recurring training for the behavior consultants. Some of her new duties include supervising the newly created Quality Office staff and monitoring state agencies for policy changes that impact Behavior Services & Therapy and reviewing/revising/creating policies and procedures that are keeping in line with our business practices to ensure compliance.
Christi Milliken has been promoted to the redefined Training and Lead Behavior Consultant position. She will be training all newly hired behavior consultants and mentoring current consultants who might benefit from the added support (and whatever else she thinks of that will keep moving our training program forward!!!). She will be part of the newly created Quality Office as well.
Jessica Longenecker is graduating with her masters degree in August and transitioning to our clinical side of the house. I've hired her replacement as our newly defined Quality Compliance Specialist. The quality compliance specialist provides twice monthly audits of current behavior consultants’ paperwork, manages the Behavioral Support Plan IST signature process, and annual Client Satisfaction Surveys among many other tasks.
The Quality Office will be responsible for Client Satisfaction Surveys; state incident reporting; referral management; behavior consultant recruitment; training new behavior consultants; recurring behavior consultant training; company-wide training; ensuring compliance by monitoring BDDS, BQIS, DDRS policy changes; monitoring and tracking all FBA/BSP/PTP documents; managing BST's Human Rights Committee; implementing productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; determining system-wide improvements and implementing change.
These team members have all worked hard and earned their promotions/new positions with Behavior Services & Therapy. I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to work with them as we continue to improve our services and processes!
